Making Money Online with Hubpages!

By Part Time Blogger On March 27, 2008 No Comments

 make money online

Hi Bloggers, I am always looking for different ways to make money online. Maybe I should stick to one method at a time & stick to it. One method I haven’t tried though is the content sharing site Hubpages.com

What is Hubpages!

Hubpages is a content sharing site that allows you to post specific content on a certain topic. Hubpages allow you to monetize your created pages or Hubs as they are called with adsense, amazon & ebay ads. Your ads show 60 % of the time with the other 40% belonging to them.

The advantages of creating Hubs!

You can get great search engine ranking with your hubs almost overnight, they drive the traffic to your page when someone searches for your hub topic. You can publish links to your website and once you achieve a high hubpage score these links will become Nofollow links.

The secret to making good hubs is to write about topics you are interested in, you do not want to spam because your hub will be flagged in no time.

My make money online plan with Hubpages is to create 10 hubs a week this is easy achievable to me, I’m estimating each hub will take about 45 minutes maybe quicker because I will be writing about topics I’m interested in and know quite a bit about. Hopefully these hubs will increase my online earnings.

I’m off now to create my first Hub, will keep you updated on my progress with this great content sharing site.

Until next time

Thumbalizr taking screenshots of your web pages

By Part Time Blogger On March 22, 2008 1 Comment

Hi Bloggers, I am the first to admit I am not quite a whizz with images. My post about my new theme was created with 2 free programs I found in minutes with Google. That’s what great about the internet a complete noob like me can find things instantly.

Here are the Free programs I used to create the post

Firstly I wanted to take screen shots of my Homepage so I could explain clearly what each section of the blog did. I googled the term ‘How to take screen shots of your website’ and a website called Thumbalizr was ranked at number 1. I clicked it and here I was able to take the screen shot of the page I wanted.

What is Thumbalizr!

Using Thumbalizr you are able to take screen shots of web pages, all you need to do is enter the URL of the web page you want to capture then press “Thumb it”.

A screen shot of the page will be taken, you get to choose between a screen shot with a fixed height or the complete web page.

That’s it, it’s as easy as 123 . All you do then is click which size you want to download 320, 640, 800, 1024 or 1280 pixel width.

Once I had my download screen shot I was able to edit it using the fantastic free image editing software Gimp. There you have it, hope you like the new theme.

Happy Blogging

searge engine list

Hi Bloggers, one of my daily routines is thinking about new websites that I can develop, so during one of my many brainstorming sessions. I was just doing a search with my bookmarks on firefox, and the words Bookmark this page was displayed on my browser. So I instantly thought I will create a bookmark site, and try to create a niche to just the U.K. market for the time being. So I shot over to Godaddy, and started to think of a good domain, which as we all know is very hard to do. The good one’s have all been taken. My first pick was Bookmarkthispage.co.uk I did this just to see if by a slim chance it hadn’t been registered. I was amazed to find that it was available, I had hit the jackpot with this project, I had my idea and I had the perfect domain name to go with it. A domain name that is so easy to remember and which is totally brandable to the project.

So this was one project I wasn’t going to sit on, like so many I have in the past.I quickly started to search all the top U.K. websites in every subject, and finally I have come up with this fantastic list that every person in the U.k. should have as there Number 1 Bookmark.

My next thought was that a lot of the links on the homepage were wordwide websites, sites like facebook, myspace etc etc ,so why not create a U.S page aswell which should increase my traffic even more, so expect a U.S bookmarkThisPage very soon.

I will be constantly updating and adding new features to the site, so why not Bookmark the Page, you will not regret it.

This site is far from finished and I will be adding loads of new sites on daily basis, aswell as adding categories to the site. Which will make it easier for the reader to find what there looking for.

Hopefully the site will become the web’s Number 1 Bookmark very soon.

Bye for now, I’m off to work on my next project this could be a Biggie.

Why you need to post on your Blog every Day!

By Part Time Blogger On March 12, 2008 1 Comment

Hi Bloggers, 2008 as been a very hectic time for the PartTimer, with PartTimer being the likely word. I just haven’t had the time to post. My mind at the moment is going through information & work overload.

Here is what’s happening

1) I have so much information in front of me from were to Learn the ropes of Internet Marketing, I keep moving from one make money online tip to the next.

2) I have over a dozen websites that need developing, my problem is at the moment I keep registering domains with my next project in mind before the last one was even started.

3) Workload in my day job has increased, meaning less time for Blogging and Internet Marketing.

To become a big player on the Make Money Online Blogging scene you need to post regularly at least once a day.

Last year I was posting nearly every day and the result was increased Alexa Ranking, Increased Traffic, Increased returning visitors, Increased Rss Viewers and many more.

This year as been a totally different story, I’ve been lucky to post twice a week. The results have been, well change the ‘In’ in the above list to ‘De’ and there you have it.

My Blog has turned into a Ghost Town no one is commenting, does this bother me, it does a little because I’m a perfectionist and I like winning in everything I do. But I have accepted that I will ever hit the blogging heights of ProBlogger,Shoemoney and John Chow. A lot of people see and hear now much these Blogger’s are making and instantly think I can do that. Start up a Make Money Online blog and expect to see quick results, when the results don’t show they quit and there blog ends up in the Blogosphere graveyard.

I have nearly become one of them a few times now, but I have decided to keep at it, and take you on the journey to becoming a ProBlogger one day. ( I wish lol)

The moral of the story is, if you want to succeed in the crazy world of Blogging you need to post every day, and only when you rise to the top will you then be able to reduce it.

Good Luck with your Blogs and don’t quit

The always will be PartTimeBlogger!
